Relay For Life Kickoff Party Is Thursday

VELMA – The Yalobusha County Relay For Life committee is excited to begin planning for the 2016 American Cancer Society Relay for Life scheduled October 15. Since there was not a Relay in 2015, organizers are even more pumped up to get the ball rolling and report this year’s Relay will be something new and unique for us as we will have a 5K race in downtown Water Valley followed by the survivor recognition, entertainment, food, games and the Lantern Release at the Downtown Park.

To gear up for this fundraiser a kick off party will be held at Velma Fire Department on Thursday, May 19, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. All citizens of Yalobusha County are invited to come out for hotdogs and drinks and learn how to help Kick Cancer!!
