Mississippi Wildlife Extravaganza Scheduled August 5 – August 7

The Mississippi Wildlife Extravaganza has pulled out all the stops for its 30th anniversary show. The annual tradeshow and fundraiser for the conservation programs of the Mississippi Wildlife Federation will feature over 200 vendors from all over North America showing the latest in outdoor products and hunting and fishing gear.

This year’s show will feature a multitude of outdoor personalities including David Blanton from Realtree Outdoors presented by Primos and Mello Yellow. This year’s show will once again feature the “Ride and Drive” test track sponsored by the Central Mississippi Chevy dealers and Saturday night the National Wild Turkey Federation will host a Gun Blast event featuring drawings for great prizes.

As always, there will be plenty of activities for the kids including the high-flying retrievers, catfish hand-grabbin’, pellet and archery shooting and so much more. The Magnolia Records Big Buck Contest will be showcasing the biggest Mississippi whitetails taken in the past year.

The show kicks off at the Trademart building in Jackson on Friday with kids 12 and under getting in free of charge during show hours of 2-8 p.m.  Doors open Saturday at 9 a.m. and remain open until 7 p.m. with Sunday’s show starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m. For more information about this year’s Wildlife Extravaganza visit the Mississippi Wildlife Fede-ration website at www.mswildlife.org.
