Lady Devils Earn Big Division Win Over Wildcats

The cloud of dust made it difficult, but the home plate umpire called the Calhoun City runner safe at home plate in Monday night’s softball game on the road. COLDWATER The Lady Devils traveled to Coldwater to take on the Independence Lady Wildcats last Tuesday night, for a big division contest.


The Lady Devils looked to get things turned around as they’ve had struggles of late, they did just that. 


Water Valley came away with a big division win over Independence, defeating the Lady Wildcats 11-2. The JV also earned a 7-5 victory over Independence. 


They lost to Calhoun City, 7-0 Monday night. The Lady Devils (2-6, 1-0) will be back in action next Tuesday night, as they host the Vardaman Lady Rams.
