Lady Devils Drop Games to North Pontotoc and Lafayette

WATER VALLEY – The Water Valley Lady Devils (2-7)(0-2) hosted the North Pontotoc Lady Vikings on March 28th for their second division contest of the season.
The Lady Vikings held Water Valley to only two hits in the contest, and scored five runs to earn the 5-0 win over Water Valley.
Following the loss, Water Valley hosted the Lafayette Lady Commodores on March 31st for a non-division matchup.
Early in the contest, the two teams looked evenly matched as they were tied 1-1 after three innings. However, the Commodores used a five- run fifth inning to help lead them to a 10-3 win over the Lady Devils.
The Lady Devils will be back in action on April 8th as they travel to take on the Vardaman Lady Rams.
