Lady Devils Start Slow, Looking For First Win
Head Coach Jason Purdy and the Lady Devils have also kicked off their 2017-2018 season. They are still searching for their first win after a slow start to the season.
Water Valley opened the season on the road, as they faced the Montgomery County Hornets. The Lady Devils were defeated by a score of 41-20.
The girls’ squad faced some tough competition on November 17, as they traveled to Olive Branch to take on the Class 5A Lewisburg Lady Patriots. The Patriots were too much for Lady Devils, defeating Water Valley by a final score of 55-14.
Water Valley nearly got their first win of the season on November 28th, as they hosted the Winona Tigers. They were narrowly defeated by a score of 34-32, to fall to 0-3 on the young season.
The Lady Devils will be back in action on December 12th, as they travel to Charleston to take on the Lady Tigers.
