CLARKSDALE – The Blue Devils (4-16, 0-6 Region 2-3A) traveled to Clarksdale last Friday night, to take on the Region 2-3A leading Coahoma Agricultural Tigers (17-4, 6-1 Region 2-3A).

The Blue Devils were up to the test when the Tigers came to Water Valley a couple of weeks ago, fighting all the way to the end and almost handing the Tigers their first division loss. However, Coahoma would hang on to pick up the 50-47 division win.

This contest would not be as close, as the Tigers came out firing and didn’t look back, defeating Water Valley by a final score of 93-32. The loss dropped the Blue Devils to (4-17, 0-7 Region 2-3A). They will play their final division game of the season on Friday night as they travel to Marks to take on the MS Palmer Dragons (7-12, 3-5 Region 2-3A) looking for their first division win of the season.

Lady Devils

The Water Valley Lady Devils (1-11, 0-5 Region 2-3A) also traveled to Clarksdale last Friday afternoon to take on the Coahoma Lady Tigers (3-17, 3-5 Region 2-3A) in one of their last division contests of the season.

The Lady Devils hung around early, but the Lady Tigers pulled away en route to a 45-21 division victory. The loss dropped Water Valley to (1-12, 0-6 Region 2-3A) on the season. Now they turn their focus towards the division tournament, as they’ll find out their first opponent later this week.
