Libraries Rock! Summer Program Continues At Blackmur

Mitch Edwards and Hayes Cobern show off their newly-painted maracas.

Laynie Cobern and London Fondron paint their maracas.

The Libraries Rock! Summer program at Blackmur Library is well underway, but it’s not too late to join in the fun. This year, participants are  having fun with music as they learn about different music and instruments from around the world, what makes music work. They also are enjoying making some cool crafts, and singing some songs.

There are three sessions remaining in the summer program and you can still sign your child up. The dates are:

• Wednesday, June 27, 3 to  4:30 p.m. (today);

• Wednesday, July 11, 3 to 4:30 p.m.;

• Wednesday, July 18, 3 to 4:30 p.m.

The program is for kindergarteners who have completed at least one year of school through rising sixth graders. Registration before the program is encouraged, but not required. Parents who wish to sign their children up for the program can come by the library and fill out a registration form. All children participating must have a registration form completed by a parent or guardian on file in order to attend.

If you have any questions about the program or would like to volunteer to help, please give us a call at (662) 473-2444 or email at blackmurlibrary@gmail.com.
