Rotary Club Has Exciting Items For Raffle

Water Valley Rotarian Raymond Hawkins (left) and Lindsay Hastings at Sartain’s True Value display the 65-inch Haier television that will be raffled during the Watermelon Carnival.

Each year Rotarians try to raffle items during the Watermelon Carnival that appeal to young and old,  male & female. This year Rotary is offering the latest in TV technology and what everybody wants in a “COOL” watch. Ladies always love the pottery and who can’t use $100 of gasoline?

Therefore, the Rotary Club of Water Valley will have the following items to raffle during the annual carnival. First place is a 65-inch Haier curved television, second place is an Apple watch, third prize is Peter’s or McCarty Pottery and fourth prize is a $100 gasoline certificate.

The pottery is donated by Guardian Termite & Pest Control and the gasoline by C.W. White, Inc.

The TV will be on display at Sartain’s Home and Auto. Tickets will be available at Sartain’s and the BTC grocery, as well as from any Rotarian. You may also purchase your tickets at the Rotary Club booth on Friday or Saturday at the Watermelon Carnival.

The cost of tickets are $5 per ticket or three tickets for $10. The drawing for prizes will take place on Saturday, August 4th on the bandstand between 2 and 3 p.m. Proceeds from this raffle will help to fund the many community projects of your local Rotary club.
