The Water Valley Main Street Association and The Trusty Diner invite the public to come down to the corner of Panola and Main Street Saturday for fun with giant lawn games and delicious hotdogs.
Scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the games include Giant Jenga, Tic Tac Toe, Lawn Twister and Jumbo Checkers. The games were sponsored and crafted for the 200 Block Party back in June, but were not used due to inclement weather. The games were created with generous donations and volunteers from the community and have been donated to the city for public use. They are currently housed at the Main Street Association office and can be checked out for parties and events to use in the parks and green spaces along Main Street.
Additionally, National Hot Dog Day is the following Monday, so The Trusty Diner will have a hot dog cart for the event (courtesy of Tony Chandler), and hot dogs will be for sale with all the fixings.
“Please stop by this Saturday to celebrate Main Street and our community,” reports Lawton Gafford.
