True Friends Welcome Newcomers

Dear Editor,

The best friends are the ones who hold a mirror up and encourage you to see who you really are – warts and all.

Well, I had a best friend remind me just a few minutes ago that when David and I moved to Water Valley there were no signs referring to us as invaders.   Instead we were welcomed with open arms by many, many people – some of whom have remained good, true friends.  

What a sobering and humiliating thought.
