COFFEEVILLE – After dodging law enforcement for several months, Rasheed Money was arrested at a safety checkpoint on Hwy. 7 near Coffeeville for several warrants. Sheriff Lance Humphreys reported Money, 25, was taken into custody on August 11 and was wanted by both the sheriff’s department and Water Valley Police Department for armed robbery.
Also arrested during a safety checkpoint on August 16 was Victor Cole Burns, 27, of Coffeeville for suspended driver’s license and possession of methamphetamine. The checkpoint was on County Road 113, an area where Humphreys reported his department has fielded numerous complaints of narcotics activity.
“We plan to continue with a heavy law enforcement presence in that area,” the sheriff said.
A third arrest was made on August 15 after deputies received a call of someone braking into a vehicle at 700 County Road 211 outside of Coffeeville. Deputies were on the scene within minutes and were able to identify a suspect off of surveillance video. Todderick Kincaide, age 22, of Coffeeville was arrested the following morning by deputies and officers with the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
Sheriff Department narcotics investigator Thomas West reported Burns made a statement during an interview that linked him to the crime.
