Hurricane Evacuees Thank Hospitable Folk

Dear Editor,

We hope that this finds you, your family and readers doing well; as for us, we’re doing great! My wife, Bonnie, and I want to take this opportunity to thank all the nice people who, this past year, have done so much to make life easier for us, during the hurricanes.

While criss-crossing 14 States, playing over 160 musical dates, (Banjo/Guitar), our dear friends, old and new alike have been unbelievably hospitable, praying for us, putting us up in their homes, and even buying us gasoline during the shortages.

Although the trips are sometimes long and a bit tiring, knowing that there are such nice folks out there to play for make the trips worth it 10 times over!

    We love you all!

    Sincerely,

    Bobby & Bonnie Hathorn

WVHS Student Says, ‘We Are Not Robots’

To The Editor:

I do not think we should have to wear uniforms in Water Valley Schools. I don’t want everyone looking the same. We are  not robots!!!

I am a high school student.

  Yours truly,

  /s/Caleb McMahen
