Winona Couple Enjoys Newspaper,
Singing At Yalobusha Nursing Home

Hi All,

My husband is a truck driver. He picked up one of your papers one day as he was returning from Collierville, Tenn. I have enjoyed it so much that I would like to subscribe. I don’t know any of you personally but I think I have come to know you all through the paper.

We sing the first and third Saturday of each month in the nursing home at Water Valley. You all have a nice nursing home and the workers are so nice. We enjoy the residents so much and get a blessing from them. You all keep up the good work on your paper.

  Thanks,

  The Crouchs

Fire Victims Extend Thanks For Kind Acts

Dear Editor:

We would like to thank everyone who came to help us the day our house burned. Ricky Woods and the men and women of Pine Valley are the most determined people we know. Herbie Rogers and the team from Velma, we can’t say enough good things about you. City of Water Valley, thank you for going out of your way to help. Chickenbone and Banner, thank you for the support you gave.

To my co-workers at BorgWarner, Turkey Creek Church and Helping Hands Club, your generosity is overwhelming. You are all good people.

People of the city and county, always support your firefighters. They come as fast as they can and don’t stop. They get paid nothing for risking their lives. Remember these are the people that are running into a burning building as we are running out.

  Thank you again,
  /s/Brenda and Ed Newman
