Thank You

  I would like to extend a note of thanks to Mayor Larry Hart and Street Department Superintendent Michael Scroggins for coming to my assistance following the collapse of a roof section at 430 North Main. As the photo on the front page of the July 15 Herald showed, the fallen section came down with such force that the front plate glass was blown out across the sidewalk and into the street. The management of this situation was no small matter and without Michael’s crew and equipment, the problem might still exist. To this I can only say, “Thank you, gentlemen.”
