Highway Name Sparks Criticism

Dear Editor: 

    The Herald seems determined to perpetuate the falsity of labeling Highway 315 towards Paris as 315 East and towards Batesville as 315 West, ignoring the convention that odd-numbered highways run North and South and even-numbered highways run East and West.         

    The caption on the front page of the current issue is only the latest example of this error. It would be an admittedly minor, but nevertheless welcome, change if this could be avoided in future issues.
