Time Is Running Out For 50K In 50 Days
Dear Editor:
The Water Valley School District is seeking assistance from our community members, alumni, business owners, parents, grandparents, or others with a vested interest in our school district. We have discovered an immediate need, faculty members are lacking some much needed technological equipment for their classrooms. These items range from laptop and desktop computers to hover cam carts, which include a projector system that will provide better instruction by our teachers and more engaged students.
The total cost for these items is $49,800. Because of the need for our faculty members to get these as soon as possible to use this academic year, we feel we need to make this purchase as quickly as possible. We have named this fund drive: 50K in 50 days!
Water Valley has always been known for its generosity & love for its citizens. This fundraiser to purchase technology for our faculty to be able to instruct our children (the future of this community) is a way we can all rally behind our school district, faculty and especially for our students. We expect our teachers to do their best in the classroom and in turn our students will do their best in the classroom as well!

You can also purchase chances to win win cash prizes of $2,000, $1,500, and $1,500 that will be drawn at halftime of the Water Valley football game on October 16th. 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the 50K in 50 days campaign. Tickets are $20 each or $100 for 6 tickets. You may purchase them at the BTC, Midtown Auto Parts, Mechanics Bank, Valley Tool, The Chamber of Commerce office, the School District office, or from Taylor Trusty at Yalobusha General Hospital.
