Chamber Launches T-Shirt Contest For Upcoming 50th Anniversary Of The Watermelon Carnival

The Water Valley Area Chamber of Commerce would like to invite all residents, former residents and their family members to participate in the t-shirt art contest for the upcoming 50th anniversary of the Watermelon Carnival, August 2-3. 

Contest information:

1. The contest is open to all current residents, previous residents and family members of residents of Yalobusha County. 

2. Entries must be original creations that incorporate the 50th anniversary theme of the Watermelon Carnival. 

3. The winning design will remain at the Chamber of Commerce and will not be returned to participant. The Chamber of Commerce may use the winning design at any time before and during the carnival along with subsequent years. The participant may not sell or reproduce the winning design. 

4. A panel of judges will choose the winner to be announced at the Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet on April 8, 2019. 

5. The deadline for entry is March 18, 2019, and must be submitted to  the Water Valley Area Chamber of Commerce. Please do not sign the submission for judging purposes. 

6. Form of Entry:

a. The entry should be accompanied by your name, address and contact information. 

b. The entry may be drawn or printed on 8 ½” by 11” paper or larger and also submitted in a .pdf file.

c. Use no more than six (6) colors.

d. The entry must incorporate watermelons and commemorate the 50th anniversary theme of the carnival. 

7. The Water Valley Area Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to pick one entry, more than one entry or no entries as the winning entry. 

8. Only one entry per participant. 

9. The submission must be accompanied and signed by the Acknowledgment and Assignment form. The form may be picked up at the Water Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, or can be sent to you via email.
